Big insurance agencies forgot what it means to serve real people. Clients were tired of waiting on hold, fighting for fair claims, and guessing if they were really covered. We saw the problem - and decided to do things differently.

Our Story
Rusch Family Insurance began with a simple belief: insurance is personal. Kevin and his brother grew up in Utah and saw firsthand how confusing and impersonal big insurers had become. Together, they set out to build a local agency where clients are treated like neighbors- not policy numbers.
What started as a small family business has grown through word-of-mouth, one relationship at a time. We're proud to serve families and businesses across Utah with honesty, care, and real protection.

Jason Rusch (Owner)
Jason Rusch is the founder and owner of Rusch Family Insurance, established in 2017. With eight years of industry experience prior to opening the agency, Jason brings close to two decades of hands-on insurance expertise to every client relationship. His passion for the business is simple and genuine and he loves helping people protect what matters most, every single day.
A graduate of Snow College and dedicated family man, Jason is the proud father of three, one adopted grand kiddo, and is eagerly awaiting his first grandchild, where he fully intends to embrace his new title as “Papa Jay.” When he’s not working with clients, you’ll most likely find him spending time with family, firing up the grill, out fishing, or coaching little league football on the sidelines.
Jason believes insurance should be personal, honest, and built on trust and that philosophy is the foundation of Rusch Family Insurance.
Jackie Rusch (Co-Owner)
Jackie Rusch is the co-owner of Rusch Family Insurance and the operational backbone of the agency. She oversees the company’s financials, IT systems, and serves as the expert office decorator for every holiday season.
What Jackie loves most about insurance is the community impact. She is passionate about supporting and sponsoring local events that matter to her and takes special joy in helping families with young children protect their future with confidence and care.
Outside of work, Jackie enjoys spending time with her three children and her adopted grandchild, Paisley, and she is excited to be welcoming her first grandchild in the coming months. She also loves barbecues, concerts, traveling somewhere warm, and soaking up pool time whenever possible.
Kevin Rusch (Agent)
Kevin Rusch is the newest member of the Rusch Family Insurance team, bringing with him 18 years of leadership experience in higher education and nonprofit organizations. His background in people-focused leadership, community engagement, and service-driven work gives him a unique edge in understanding what truly matters to individuals, families, and business owners.
Kevin earned his associate’s degree from Salt Lake Community College and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. He was drawn to the insurance industry because it gives him the opportunity to meet dozens of great people each week and make a real, tangible difference in their lives through smart protection and long-term planning.
Outside of work, Kevin stays active with early morning gym sessions, hikes with his dogs Rosie and Jett, backyard grilling, and catching outdoor concerts whenever he can. He believes life is meant to be lived fully and insured properly.
Marnie Hancock (Agent)
Marnie Hancock is an experienced insurance agent with several years in the industry and a strong background in service-based professions, where she mastered what true top-tier customer service really means. She was drawn to insurance because it allows her to do what she loves most, which is solve problems, help people, and improve lives within her community.
Known for her thorough, detail-driven approach, Marnie takes a true deep dive into every policy to ensure her clients get the right coverage for their unique and sometimes complex insurance needs. She doesn’t believe in shortcuts—only smart solutions.
Outside the office, Marnie enjoys spending time with her family, tackling do-it-yourself projects, loving on her pets, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

SPONSORSHIPS
We love to golf, and love supporting our local sports teams and community organizations by sponsoring tournaments for groups like Syracuse High, Viewmont High, American Heroes Project, Battered Women's Shelter, Little Leagues, and the Women Council of Realtors for Northern Wasatch.
FOOD DRIVE
We sponsored a community food drive to donate to local food pantries in the Syracuse area, which were getting low on food supplies. Three carloads of donated food went to families in need during the months of November and December.
VOLUNTEERING
We've rolled up our sleeves and given of our time to help with food drives, building feminine hygiene kits, and lending an extra hand at the Utah Food Bank during peak times.
RC WILLEY EXTRA MILE AWARD
The RC Willey Extra Mile Award is typically given only to RC Willey employees, but in some cases it is awarded to local community organizations or sponsors who go above and beyond, demonstrating exceptional service to the community. The award goes through a nomination and voting process, making this 2023 award extremely special.
